The Social network is labelled as the "facebook" movie. Its definitely worth a watch, let me first state that. In todays world of fictitious relationships, non-existent personal touches, this is "the" thing that is ruling the world. It is definitely worthwhile to have a look at the very beginning of it all.
I have complains about the movie in the story. It is indeed well planned out and good mix of storytelling with the actual factuality of the incidence. But, a big BUT, is that, in all this speedy-programmy-cacophony, the actual social networking got lost. The movie needed more actual effects of social networking. The movie needed to show more of the effects facebook is having in people's lives.
More of how in daily basis students are connecting, friends are having blast, relationships are getting broken, ontinents are coming closer, over the facebook.
May be the movie is not about the after effect, the movie is about how it happened, not about what happened after it happened. In that sense, the movie gives a very good picture of ideas, execution, jealousy, hollowness. opportunism.
Acting wise, Jesse was superb, others were okay, they did not have that much challenging roles anyway.
I would definitely suggest people should go and see the movie, it definitely deserve atleast a shot.
