What did I expect? Hollywood hasn't really produced a good remake in awhile. Maybe they should stop? Originality always helps! In our Bollywood let’s take an example of “Hera Pheri” and in Hollywood let’s taken the current example “The Final Destination”. The first version can be seen ‘n’ number of times, but the second version always gives us a sad feeling like “Why the hell have I seen even once a time?”
Denzel and Travolta gave okay performances and Tony Scott puts in a few tense moments, but where are the danger and the action? About 30 minutes into the film I stopped caring about any of the characters. After MAN ON FIRE & DEJA VU, I really expected something that puts us in the story and keeps the thrills and guesses coming. There were too many subplots that didn't make PELHAM very exciting. And I've always relied on Tony Scott to deliver a powerhouse film. But, like I said, not every film can be perfect. I still look forward to the next Denzel/Scott collaboration.
Overall just 1.5 / 5
