To be honest, I was disappointed with the film. After watching Satyajit Ray's Feluda, this film has too many shortcomings. The first half of the film, as long as it was in Baikunthapur, was gripping. However, Sandip Ray seemed to have lost the plot in the elation of shooting in Hong Kong. There was a moment where only a restaurant kitchen was shown. There was no purpose and it was totally out of context. I'm sure the senior Ray wouldn't have done this.

Biswajit Chakraborty as Mr. Somani didn't look non Bengali at all. His accent was too Bengali to be convincing. ... » read more

The film is well made ,parhaps the best of Sandip Roy till date. The charecters are convincing
and played by suitable actors. Absence of female charecters are felt. It is good that Hongcong
is seen in the movie with all its glory. It is not understood that why Tota had to have a disguise
without any reason. The portion where the buyar of the picture realised he is being cheated
is made very casually, as there were almost no guards protecting the millioneres' house. Music is a bit loud sometimes but otherwise appropriate. We look forward to get this type ... » read more

    • “Tintorettor Jishu” is the story of a painting by the 15th century Italian renaissance painter named Tintoretto and is the tale about Feluda and how he prevents few unscrupulous characters from stealing the painting.

Feluda (Sabyasachi) comes across Naba Niyogi on the road when he is returning to Kolkata one day from the outskirts with his associates Topshe (Parambrata) and Lalmohan Babu (Bibhu Bhattacharya). They help him to fix his car, so Naba Noyogi asks Feluda to accompany him to his ancestral mansion in Baikunthapur. On reaching there they discover that ... » read more

Jesus Christ has arrived in the city 14 days ahead of 25th December- courtesy film director Sandip Ray as his latest Feluda- adventure releases in the theatres on this Friday, the 12th.
Satyajit Ray wrote this detective adventure story in the early eighties. In this story the climax of the story was in Hong Kong and that is the reason why this film was kept shelved for long two years. Sandip started the shooting of the film in 2005 but the producers were not keen to shoot the film in Hong Kong, so the delay. Ultimately, the producers were changed and the climax shooting ... » read more

    “Tintoretto Missing”

Bengalis had begun to lose their identities since the last two decades. As no other prominent and notable Samaritan came whom the Bengali aboriginals could seek as a refuge, “Bangaliana” withered away like a puff off dust. But there are leftovers of great civilizations. Bengalis possess some fossils and shines of their lost glories in works, lives, literature, documents and cinemas. The collection of Feluda remains as one of the treasured possessions in the souls of Bengalis who thrive to strive the pinnacle culture and originality. So Feluda ... » read more

Sandip Ray has been able to recreate the Feluda magic in his own characteristic narrative way and though not as good as his father, he pulls it off convincingly. Sabyasachi looks slight aged for Feluda, but he too manages to hide the flaws with his superb acting skills and amazing physical fitness. In keeping with the present times, I feel it was clever of the director to show mobile phones and even CCD. Bibhu as Jatayu is slowly mastering the art and has created a Jatayu quite different from that of Santosh Dutta. Infact it would unfair to compare the 2 as the former ... » read more
