Two young fishermen, with an old man, go for catching fish in mid-river. They take shelter in a new village. One of them, kishor, fell in love with a beautiful young woman, in a holi festival. The girl faints in the time of playing holi and kishor carries her to her home. The girl’s parent, who are also fisher in that village, offers kishor to get married with the girl. Kishor agree and marries her. They get physically intimate in a dark room and in the down, they start for kishor’s village in a boat. Kishor’s new bride doesn’t look at her husband’s face properly, but starts to love her. The old man in boat advices to hide the bride under the base at boat. She hides, but dacoits come and steal her. She manages to escape and comes to a new village. She takes shelter there, gives birth of a male baby, ananta. Time goes on ananta is how eight years old. His mother comes to his father’s village to find him. Mother and son take shelter there. Ananta’s mother get’s a new friend, a young widow lady, basanti. Basanti, basically the widow of subal, the friend of kishor. Kishor is how total mad. Basanti loves this mother–son duo and somehow manages to know about her friend’s falling for kishor. She starts to suspect his past. Ananta’s mother tries to win back the mad, but kishor attacks her. Villagers beat him. Before death, kishor recognizes his wife, they died together. Ananta, takes shelter to basanti, but his parents don’t like it. He escapes. Another lady gives him shelter, but he escapes to city. He starts his journey to be a gentleman here. Titas lost it’s water, it dries. Basanti, like others, gets sick, in his sick bed, she dreamy about ananta. Her dream of becoming a mother also lost like the water of titas.
