Basu Chatterjee just like Hrishikesh Mukherjee has always been the master of simple story telling. The stories are generally comedies though they can be occasionally serious as well. There are no sub plots literally to speak about, the content and the characters are absolutely simple .There is no malice, no complexities and none of the other baggages which other characters of other films carry. That is why they are the masters.
