    Trishna,noted distributor/producer Pritam Jalan's directorial venture, turns out to be one of the the most misleading film of our times.The film with it's posters of Rituparna in revealing attire is indeed a clever marketing gimmick,but surprise! surprise! it turns out to be a ditto copy of the hit Hindi film Jism and it remains to be seen how successfull it will be in drawing audiences to the theaters.     At last distributor of Yash Chopra in Kolkata, Pritam Jalan becomes the director of a Bengali film titled “Trishna” which is 75% “ditto” copy of Bipasha-John starrer “Jism” – which Mr. Jalan has denied earlier.
    Tiasha (Rituparna) is married but she has a past. She came to “Roychoudhury Home” as a nurse. And from that status she becomes one the major holder of the property. Aling with Tiasha’s husband Arindam Sil and his sister (Sudipa Basu). Only this portion of the storylune of the film is little bit of different then “Jism”. The rest is the same.
