Not for one who have read the books!

As an avid reader of the Twilight books, I was so excited to see the books which I have read had brought to the life on the big screen. But man, was I disappointed after watching the film.

The whole film seemed too much rushed. One minute Bella and Edward have just met, the next minute they're all "I'd die for you, you're my life now..." If I hadn't read the books I would've been sitting there thinking with ‘Are they on drugs or something?’ Oh, and Edward's first reaction to Bella in Bio lab is actually laughable. And they didn't even include the blood typing scene! Just talk talk blah blah.

The Cullen siblings and the school people (Jessica etc) didn't get nearly enough screen time, which is a real shame because they did so well in their roles. I especially liked Rosalie and Alice; they really did their characters justice. Tyler and Eric didn't look anything like I would've thought. And there was none of the Tyler asking Bella to prom then Bella moaning to Edward about it.

The best scene in the movie has to have been the baseball scene, the music was fabulous and the scene just worked really well. However the meadow scene (which for people who've read the book, was highly anticipated) was terrible. Edward barely sparkled. And they ruined the lion/lamb quote- it looked like they'd just got nowhere else to put it so shoved it in quickly at the end. Even the speed running in the forest looked so unreal and I had to again laugh.

The prom scene at the end seemed like they'd just shoved a load of one-liners from the book in at the last minute.

Basically, if you haven't read the books, don't bother. And if you have, well, prepare for disappointment.
