Not bad actually!
I guess the plot was very nice, star cast were Ok, background music was suitable, performances was not that bad, so what went wrong?
The only thing was lacking here was the lack of direction.
Samir Karnik, who is not new in the film industry and has directed only four films up-till now, Kyun Ho Gaya na, Nanhe Jaisalmer, Heroes and the recent one Vaada raha. So in short he has given an average rated movie. But I guess this would his most compromising work he had ever done.
Vaada Raha is the story about a man who is very successful in his life and is very happy for his life. One fine day he met with an accident and went to paralytic state where apart from his face, his whole body below the neck down suffered from a paralytic attack. He emotionally went down. One cute little boy helped him to boost his self confidence that he can be perfectly fine and also taught him that life is not to live for ourselves but life is to live for others.
A good message, good scenes, and wonderful performance by that cute little boy. The only thing was missing was the treatment. As per the story, as per the screenplay, that kind of treatment was not given so that it can appeal to the masses. And that kind of treatment could only comes from a good direction. I am impressed that Mr. Samir Karnik had some good effort in the screenplay and in the dialogues, ofcourse with the help of Mr. Aseem Arora. But I wished that atleast some more effort must have been given in the direction field, so that atleast such a good topic with such a good message would not have been wasted like this.
Overall this movie is atleast a onetime good watch for all the masses.
Rating: 2 for the overall movie and plus 1 for the good message. Equals 3/5
