Refreshing Wake Up!
It was a dark night; I was so tired from the office, forcibly watching the film just for the sake for my best friend. Film completed and she said “you are tired na…sorry yar…now sleep well.” I said “Nope…Thanks…I just woke up…Thanks for refreshing me” :-)
The exact same sentence you will say when you will just walk out from the good old theatre after watching this amazing film, “I Woke up and this film really refreshed me!” and that will be your review.
Written and Directed by the debutant Ayan Mukherjee has made such a sweet and simple story which surely will resemble something or the other connected to your life. And that something will sweetly touch your heart and your senses.
Story is very simple and very common that one must have heard or seen many-a-times through from films or through in real life. But the way, the rhythm, the feel which you will get at the end of this film is just entirely different from all others. Once you will watch it – You will feel it!
About the performances, it’s just one and only one “Ranbir Kapoor” who steals the complete show. The Page3 girl was at her best as a character. And rest all supported their best.
Now if everything is good then what are the minus points?
1. A little bit of stretchy screenplay.
2. Amazing creatively done background score, which unfortunately many mango people will not be able to swallow it!
3. A very good plot treated in a too simplest way – Too simple can be again a little complicated for some mango people labeling as “a non-creative film”.
So, on the whole, before labeling this film as a good or a bad I would just like to only say that whether it is a good film or a bad film, no matter whatever it is, this film will surely resemble something or the other to your past or current life. And that’s, worth watching!
Rating: 2.5 overall / 0.5 for Ranbir’s fantabulous performance / and 0.5 for the realistic touchy scenes which will refreshingly wake you up.
Total: 3.5 / 5
