It is no mean feat to compose 13 songs for an album, each different from the other. The last such phenomenon that I can remember is Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (which went on to become a super duper hit album). However, do not somehow anticipate the same for this one, unless Ashutosh has an ace or two up his sleeve to make this one rock!! It's pleasant and average but doesn't add up to more!

Each song is dedicated to each zodiac sign, represented by a different Priyanka.

Taking a look at each song:

Aries (Anjali) - Pal pal Jisko Dhoonde: A slow jazz number which picks up later. Sung pleasantly enough by Sohail Sen.

Taurus (Vishakha) - Su Chhe: A peppy song with Gujarati lyrics. Sung with the right amount of panache by Bela Shende (The Sa - Re - Ga - Ma discovery who has been heard singing off and on especially for Ashutosh's movies) and Sohail Sen.

Gemini (Kajal) - Aaja Lehraate: Meant to be a dance number of sorts sung by Shaan and Bhavya Pandit, but nothing really to write home about.

Cancer (Hansa) - Bikhri Bikhri: A slow ghazal kind of a song by Sohail Sen and Marianne D'Cruz which is ok - ok.

Leo (Mallika) - Dhadkan Dhadkan: Is the one which has a bit of a dramatic feel to it, set to the heavy beat of drums (reminds one of Kahin Aag Lage - Taal; Chupke Se Sun - Mission Kashmir). Sung as per requirement by Tarannum Malik and Sohail Sen.

Virgo (Pooja) - Pyaari Pyaari: Is a sweet song sung to the sounds of the piano and a lazy beat, a good comeback by Alka Yagnik, though sounding different from her usual self. Sohail does a good job in this one too.

Libra (Rajni) - Manunga Manunga: A strong feminist kind of a song. This one has a surprise element , it has Ashutosh Gowariker singing himself, for the male lead, while Pamela Jain is the female voice in this one.

Scorpio (Nandini) - Aa Le Chal: The song which is one of the most listenable ones in the album. Set to a nice beat, it is sung with attitude and sensuality by Ashlesha Gowariker. Reminds one of the pop numbers by Alisha and Sharon Prabhakar in the 1980s. Makes one groove with it.

Sagittarius (Bhavna) - Salone Kya: It seems to be the track in which the 'Menaka' like female protagonist seeks to seduce the hero. The lyrics are cleverly woven to use words and language of priests and yogis/ yogans: Kaamna, Sundari Bala, Katha, Prem Shaastra to tell the story of this particular character. Quite an interesting and saucy sung well by Tarannum Malik. Sohail also lends his voice to this one.

Capricorn (Jhankhana) - Koi Jaane Na: Is the poignantly rustic track which uses Indian instrumentation and the raw voice of Rajab Ali Bharti well to convey the mood of this particular character. Bela Shende comfortable in the classical genre, gives good support.

Aquarian (Sanjana) - Jaao Na: The song begins with a beautiful strumming of the accoustic guitar. A light and breezy romantic number sung well by Sohail Sen and Tarannum Malik.

Pisces (Chandrika) - Sau Janam - Madhushree's voice pierces through this song, a slow one with good drumming, in the rock genre, with Sohail's and Udit's voice joining hers to make a listenable number.

Chehra Jo Dekhe Hain - What's Your Rashee: Seems to be the introductory song, a lazy song sung well by Sohail Sen.

Tremendous effort must have gone into coming up with this album , which is really commendable, but if you ask me honestly, I don't know if this is really a 'wow' album, pleasant enough for the movie I guess. But al I can say is that it won't be featuring in my regular playlists unfortunately!
