    Mine is Leo what’s yours?

I know everybody, almost everybody is interested in their own sun signs, though somewhat they decline in front of others that they are not interested or don’t believe in, but still will look for their horoscope in the newspapers. Now that’s interest!
Now the question lies that what interest had drag you for watching this film?

No.1: Ofcourse the topic, which sounds most interesting to the aam janta the mango people.
    No.2: It’s a The Ashutosh Gowarikar film.
    And No.3: Priynaka’s 12 different roles.

    Ofcourse ... » read more

Ashutosh Govarikar is back to the big screen and after having had fantastic big stars for his earlier releases this time he’s placed his bets with Hurman Baweja who’s had two flop films. Alongside Hurman is Priyanka Chopra who has already amazed us with her brilliant performance in Kaminey and continues to do so with twelve different characters in What’s your rashee? However, after enduring over three and a half hours of this gujrati feel drama I think this film should more aptly be named Hurman Ka Swayamvar?

The story revolves around a young NRI gujarti ... » read more

13 good songs, good performances & a brand Ashutosh Gowarikar didn’t save the film.

Minuses: The screenplay. The film is very very lengthy, and the songs are a major bore. In fact if some songs were deleted, the movie could've been a bit better. Plus, the Detective sequence and the extra-marital affair track seem to be forced.

Pluses: The first hr, to an extent is entertaining. Music by Sohail Sen is fantastic; but looks forced in the film completely. Camera-work is decent. Performances are good: Priyanka is remarkable. She plays the very first character ... » read more

    What’s in the Name ?

In 80’s Ketan Mehta Made a T.V Serial Named “Mr.Yogi” which was based on a hit gujarati novel. The serial had Mr.Yogi an NRI coming to India to select girls from different Sun sign, so twelve episodes for each Sun sign and last one for climax. The director had taken different but all popular T.V Actress of that time for all the different roles. Ashuotosh Gowarikar comes back with the same story but with a big bang on big screen. Instead of taking different girls for different Sun sign, he has played a gamble of taking Priyanka Chopra in ... » read more

    So not Researched!

I believed that Ashu is more often knows for his researched. Before making any kind of films, he and his team just research very deeply so that he can deliver us the maximum facts through feature film. But this time I think he had not at all researched in raashee’s up to the mark, and that’s why this might be the one of the reason why people didn’t like it.

As far as my knowledge, (studied on sun-signs for more than 3yrs) the characters of the sun-signs given in the film are not that much true, some of them are toh not at all true. ... » read more

    Libran as I may be....

Since I'm all honest about what I think, you should believe me when I say that What's Your Raashee? wasn't abysmal as it has been projected by other more 'professional' reviewers. Seeing it from an audience perspective, I give it a rating of 2 out of 5 and here's why.....

The premise is well-known and simple. NRI MBA student Yogesh Patel (Harman Baweja) comes to India under insistence of his family to get married (why? that's utterly trivial, just remember...it's a BIG problem). When reading a book on sun signs, he comes to a decision that he can't possibly fall ... » read more

Finding the dream-girl is tough. Finding her in a hurry is tougher. And, finding yourself in a pent-up cinema-hall for 3 hours and 31 minutes in course of watching Gowarikar's marathon "epic" What's your Rashee? is the toughest.
Adapted from the Gujrati novel "Kimball Ravenswood" by Madhu Rye it could have been mega- serials as the Doordarshan televised Mr.Yogi's quest for a perfect bride two decades ago.
An NRI MBA is forced to marry within a period of 10 days in order to write off a huge debt that his brother is over head and ears in. Faced with the dilemma ... » read more

Priyanka rocks in “Whats your Rashee “

I saw Ashutosh Gowarikar’s new film ‘ Whats your Rashee ‘, Priyanka Chopra has performed brilliantly in 12 amazing charectars. I like her performance very much. Harman is also acted better than last 2 movies.
Songs are not so catchy and not so popular also. Movie is good because of its different subject.

I like only 2 songs from this film

Aasutosh fully fails, I do not know why he make this film, as he know for a classical movie. Nothis to see in this movie. Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja fails to act. twelce songs bore to audiance, story is nothing, direction is missing. Overall it is two star movie. Well twelve types of character play by Priyanka Chopra will attract some audiance. » read more
