Mahendra Kapoor (Pankaj Berry) is a retired Army officer, who despite of being confined to a wheel chair is content with his life. One day, Akshay leaves to fight for his country after an emergency operation is called for, leaving Anuradha unbearably sad. A few days after the War has ended, Col. Kapoor receives the news that his son is missing and is assumed dead. Col. Kapoor is shocked but doesn’t want his daughter-in-law to suffer the same, and thus decides to hide this from her. A few days later, a certain Rahul (Parvin Dabbas) comes to Col. Kapoor and informs him that Akshay is dead. Col. Kapoor finds his own Son in Rahul, and requests him to stay back for a couple of days. However, Anuradha is bewildered by the uncanny resemblance between Rahul and Akshay, and thus wants him to leave as soon as possible. However, due to a sudden attack to Col. Kapoor, Rahul receives a call to come back as soon as possible. After a lot of agonising wait, Neha goes to find out for herself.
