The last nail in the coffin.....

I am one of those hindi movie buffs of old, who love formula films, the drama and excitement of the old or beaten track taken by films. Hence, I was secretly nurturing some hope in my heart that I might be able to either catch a glimpse of the Subhash Ghai of old who gave us films such as Karz, Meri Jung, Ram Lakhan, among others, or if not then he would probably have learnt a lesson or two from the debacle of Yaadein and Kisna and re - invented himself somewhat, to use this multi starrer opportunity to advantage.

In search of a Stuart Broad…

Subhash Ghai is not third time lucky. Alwyn Kalicharan and Gundappa Vishwanath worked big time, Yuvi fails to the core, and not even the extra “V” helps here. The problem is not with the names, it is with the content and the assembly of caricatures he is dealing with. Somebody has to shake up the big daddy of bollywood like (Jambvant did to Lord Hanuman) and remind him of his powers.

So here is kahaani Cello aur Sallu ki…

officially subhash ghai's worst film, yuvraaj is a looser. Its a very baddddd take on rainman ( tom cruise/dustin hiffmans) . Salman, as usual, overconfident and pompous. This guy really needs to retire and save whatever little respect he still has. Anil is great but too little of him. Zayed is ok and katrina is absent. Its unbelievable how subhai ghai managed to get such crap out of rehman.
Don't waste money ; even if you have free tickets I would rather not go. » read more

    Ruled out…

“Subhash Ghai” the director who gave us great entertainer films till late 90’s, but slowly his direction started to fade out and lost it touch in the recent films. He use to make films for Masses and his films use to have grand canvas and larger than life story, which later moved to make films for N.R.I audience. After so many years Subhash Ghai the showman comes back with his Larger than life, Grand Canvassed Film “Yuvvraaj”, but will the ace director in him will be back or not? Let’s find out.

“Yuvvraaj” is story of Deven Yuvvraaj Singh [Salman ... » read more

Yuvvraaj proves that Subhash Ghai is still stuck in the old school of film making. He's employed several cliches. The scheming mama, his two sons who never change their clothes till the climax(of course never say a single dialogue too), a sexy bahu who's been picked up straight from the Ekta Kapoor stable of vamps, sets which sometimes resemble those of Saawariya and many more. There's not a single dialogue that remains with you after you leave the theatre, save for the not so innovative "Kaagaz ke tukdon se nahin dil ke rishton se ghar banta hai" from an autistic ... » read more

    Naraaz with Yuvvraaj!!

Really what a colossal waste. "Be-dum", true, is the right word for Salman, as Pravir wrote :) but the million dollar question is whats next for our Ghayal Ghai? will he be retired hurt? or come up with another lethal one?

After Yuvvraaj, will it be MahaRaaj? » read more
