Zhakaas : A Super Fast Entertaining RomCom from Ankush Chaudari. ****
Year 2011 had been a very good year for Marathi Cinema. We had Super Duper Hits like BalGandharva, Moryaa & Deool this year. We had Hits like Taaryaanche Bait, Arjun, Swaraajyaa, Faqta Lad Mhana & Mast Chaallay Aamcha this year. “Zhakaas” is the movie which wil definitely fall in Super Duper Hit Category because the movie is co-produced, promoted & distributed by Zee Talkies. It is already been released on a Huge Scale in 200 Theatres with 350+ shows all over Maharashtra. It is also been released with highest prints ever for a Marathi Movie. And the result of all this thing is the movie had opened well on the Box-Office. I saw it in a HouseFull Screen in Fame Kalyan. People were enjoying the movie from the word Go, bursting into laughter & falling from their seats due to superb comic sequences.
The movie is about Avinash (Ankush Chaudari), who falls in love with 3 girls, one is gorgeous village girl Manjula (Amruta Khanvilkar) who gives him place to live, secondly there’s modern & sexy Neha (Sai Tamhankar) who teaches him etiquettes of high society & gives him her car to use & the third one is simple & beautiful Anagha (Pooja Sawant) who gives him a job in her advertising firm. He tells all the three girls different names & has different looks for each girl. He gets into trouble when all the three girls come together for one ad shoot. He has to meet each girl the same day as he had told all of them the same date for his birthday. This situation creates funny circumstances & in spite of cleverly handling the situation, Ankush gets caught & then how Ankush solves the overall confusion is fun to watch.
It’s a through & through a Ankush Chaudari’s movie with able support from Jitendra Joshi as his friend who rescues him from difficult situations. The three lovers of the three girls Vikas Samudre, Pushkar Shrotri & Sanjay Khapre who first try to reveal the real identity of Ankush unsuccessfully to the girls, then starts supporting Ankush when Ankush promises them to marry their respective girls. The story written by Deepak Naidu is excellent on which a throughout the movie engaging script is written by Ankush himself with Nitin Dikshit. The dialogues by Nitin Dikshit are truly funny & you are sure to have a good time watching those on screen. Camerawork by Maestro Sanjay Jadhav is awesome. The editing is crisp, particularly while scene changes is amazing & something new for a Marathi Movie. The Background music is superb as is the music in the title song which is fabulously rendered by Avdhoot Gupte.
And Finally the Direction is mind blowing by Ankush who ably plays the three characters in the movie & fourth the Director.
Definitely a must Watch for this New Year 2012.
